I think some people expect that Blizzard will give out everything for free. Yeah, sure. Will happen next day after Windows 7 will cost 20 bucks.

Blizzard releasing this shows they care about their players. If they didn't, they wouldn't have made it.

It also seems that you're forgetting Blizzard is a company. Of course they're going to charge you for additional stuff, they want more money. It's $6.50. If you're playing WoW (which means you're paying a monthly fee), $6.50 is nothing.
Agreed with all of this, most of you spend 5-6$ when you go out to eat or something, it's merely pocket change.

Though I agree, I'd like to point out the fact that banks generally release the online banking card readers for free, but only to a limited number of customers. I understand that Blizzard is taking a risk, but the pay-off could be huge for them (little+little+little+... = a lot!), unless the device is very good quality (thus not expensive enough) or very bad quality (implying very bad security thus lost money and customers).

SC2 and D3 users may even benefit from this...

i have that system at work. it looks like a little calculator, you enter a PIN and it generates a random 8 digit code that is only valid for 30 seconds. we use it to log into our debit card management system.
gotta say it can't hurt. reasonable price, added security, and it's optional. don't want it? think you'll lose it or your dog will think it's tasty? don't buy one.
implement into gw2 gogogo!

Well i figure they really didn't need to create something this complex... They probably could have made an easy and cheaper system that would have been free to EVERYONE. People pay WoW monthly fees so that they are protected from hackers and that they can enjoy their gaming experience. its not the same for Guild Wars, we don't pay a monthly fee so we can't ask for them to help us out when we get hacked and such.

Blizzard shouldn't need to have them pay (who cares if they lose money? People first! They owe the people who lost their accounts this... its like giving out a flawed product, you owe it to the consumer to fix the problems). They should give this to everyone so that everyone can enjoy a safe gaming experience. Thats why i hate Blizzard, they care more about the status of their finances rather then the people who they are paid to serve, it should not have to be the other way around. Thats why i won't get WoW...ever...

Just my opinion, feel free to disagree, doesn't matter to me, im not an addicted WoW player
